Author Guideline

Guidelines for Submission

Submissions: Submissions, refereeing, and all correspondence will be conducted through e-mail. Papers should be submitted as PDF. Author information should not be included for a blind review. The submitted papers must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. There is no deadline for submitting your papers to this journal except for special issues.

Rules for submission

Authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items.

  1. The submission file is in Microsoft Word(docx format) and should not exceed 10,000 words with figures and tables.
  2. The Article has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for publication consideration.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10.5-point / Times Roman font.
  4. All spellings must be rendered in American English.
  5. The submission must default to the APA styleguide.
    For example,

    Fujimoto, T. (2018, July). Ideology of AoD: analog on digital-operating digitized objects and experiences with analog-like approach. In 2018 7th International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (pp. 901-906). IEEE.

  6. All articles should include an abstract of no more than 300 words and keywords.
  7. IJAIMD uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
    -The text has had the authors’ names removed for blind review.
    -Avoid references that by implication identify the author

Author Instructions

[Abstract] The abstract should be self-contained, citation-free and  ± 300 words.

[Contents] Manuscripts should include motivation of research such as an introduction section and clarify the contribution as academic/industrial research.

[Figures and Tables] Figures and tables in the paper should be of high resolution image and include a caption. Figures in print will appear in grayscale (black and white), though the full color version will appear in the electronic version of your published manuscript. Any copyrighted image must include indication in the caption of the original source of the image and that it is being used with permission of the copyright holder. Authors may have to pay the permission fee when the copyright holder of the image requires it.

[References]Manuscripts should include a thorough literature review and adequate reference citations to support the arguments and methodology of the research study (research papers should include approximately 10-30 references to assert a high level of rigor. Review papers should include 30-70 references).

Paper length

All submitted papers should be written in English with a minimum paper length and a maximum paper length defined in our journal.
Our journal has standard paper length of each paper. The paper can not be extended.

    The International Journal of Applied Informatics and Media Design is committed to fostering global academic collaboration and inclusivity. To support researchers from developing countries, we offer the possibility of discounted publication fees based on individual circumstances.

    Authors from developing countries may request a reduction in publication fees at the time of submission. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as the author’s affiliation, funding availability, and the overall context of the research.

Copyright Policy

The International Journal of Applied Informatics and Media Design requires authors to transfer the copyright of their manuscripts to the journal as part of the publication process. This policy is essential to ensure proper management, wide distribution, and maximization of the scholarly impact of the published works.
By transferring the copyright, the journal obtains the following rights:
  • Publication and distribution of the manuscript
  • Management of permissions (e.g., handling third-party usage)
  • Long-term preservation and accessibility of the work
Even after the copyright transfer, authors retain the following rights:
  • The right to use the manuscript for academic purposes (e.g., lectures, conferences, or non-commercial self-archiving)
  • The right to claim authorship and proper attribution for the work

Self-Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Applied Informatics and Media Design (AIMD) allows authors to deposit their research published in this journal in institutional repositories or any other repositories of their choice. This policy reflects our commitment to promoting open access and ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

Authors are permitted to self-archive the following versions of their work:

  1. Preprint Version: The original manuscript submitted to the journal (before peer review).
  2. Accepted Manuscript: The final, peer-reviewed manuscript (before typesetting and formatting by the journal).
  3. Published Version: The final, formatted version of the paper, as it appears in the journal.

To maintain proper attribution, we request that all self-archived versions include a citation to the original publication in AIMD along with a link to the journal’s website.

Withdrawal Rules

  • Authors may not withdraw a submitted paper due to author’s circumstances.
    Authors may not withdraw until they have received the results of peer review of their submitted paper.

Fraud Prevention

If a fraudulent paper or research misconduct is discovered:

  • The ICAIMD(wuth IJAIMD/JSID) will delete the paper in question.
  • The ICAIMD(wuth IJAIMD/JSID) will notify the relevant research organization and share the information.

We can not refund for papers withdrawn due to fraud.
